		<description>Thank you for bringing the issue of Avian flu virus and the risk of transmission to humans to light. It is also important to note that Avian flu is not the only potentially fatal disease that humans can contract from birds. There are actually over 60 diseases separate from Avian flu that humans should be aware of. It is vitally important that people avoid being exposed to bird droppings, and therefore try to prevent wild birds in particular from roosting near their homes.
